With our team of experienced and dedicated physiotherapists, we strive to meet the unique needs of each patient. Whether it's an athlete recovering from a sports injury, an elderly individual seeking to maintain strength and mobility, or someone managing chronic pain, we personalize our treatment plans to suit each person's goals, preferences, and abilities. We believe in cultivating strong relationships with our patients, collaborating with other healthcare professionals, and staying up-to-date with the latest research and techniques to offer the best possible care. Meet the Team

  • Thomas Divilly

    Clinic Lead

    Thomas qualified from UCD Physiotherapy degree program in 2013, and completed the MSc in Sports Physiotherapy in 2016. He has recently completed the MSc in Strength and Conditioning in 2020 from the world-leading course in St. Mary’s University, Twickenham.

    Thomas has keen interest in athletic development, performance rehabilitation and lifelong physical health. He has worked across a number of elite sport environments working with London GAA in 2014 and Offaly GAA in 2016. He is an accredited Physiotherapist in the Sport Ireland Institute. He has worked with Paralympics Ireland in the lead up to and including Rio 2016, working mainly with the CP football team. More recently, he has worked with both the Irish Swimming and Diving Team as tin the lead up and at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. He has also worked with the Irish Hockey team in a rehabilitation role.

    Thomas has a special interest in injuries to the shoulder girdle, hip and knee and return to play strategies in athletes from all populations. Thomas enjoys working with the youth athlete up to the active ageing, and especially enjoys helping people reach their physical goals.

    Outside of work, Thomas enjoys playing hurling with his local club Athenry and staying fit with running and hiking.

  • Fiona Armstrong

    Clinic Lead

    Fiona Armstong is a chartered physiotherapist with an honours Masters postgraduate physiotherapy degree from Robert Gordon University Aberdeen in 2017. Prior to this, she obtained an honours Bachelor of Science degree in Anatomy and Physiology from the National University of Ireland, Galway in 2014. Fiona specialises in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and has worked in the Private Practice setting since graduating.

    She has experience treating a wide range of acute and chronic musculoskeletal, sport and work related injuries. She has worked with elite & amateur athletes , international youth academies and team squads,(including Dublin Senior Ladies, Irish Hockey, Irish Sailing, Clarinbridge GAA, Mayo Soccer youths and triathletes). Fiona has worked with people from all backgrounds including paediatric, elderly and Olympic athletes as a physiotherapist and Strength & Conditioning coach.

    Fiona enjoys working in areas of movement dysfunction, injury prevention and evidence based rehabilitation. Fiona has a keen interest in Female athletes and women health post partum to help women of various backgrounds to return to previous levels of activity.

    Fiona is a certified Dry Needling therapist with Dry Needling Ireland and also holds certifications for Clinical Pilates with Australian Physiotherapy Pilates institute (APPI). Fiona regularly participates in post graduate continuous development training and keeps up to date with the latest literature to ensure provision of a high quality, evidence based service.

    She has a passion to promote a healthy lifestyle and enjoys working with people to achieve their goals. Fiona is a fan of all sports, particularly GAA and recreational running of various distances. Fiona is a keen camogie player for her club Clarinbridge in her native Galway and enjoys running, strength training and pilates in her spare time. Fiona considers exercise and movement to be the best form of medicine and for that reason believes it should be the first intervention for anybody who wants to improve their physical and mental wellbeing.

  • Alice Wainwright

    Physiotherapist

    Alice Wainwright is a new addition to the clinic and is looking forward to meeting you all. Alice holds an MSc in Physiotherapy from University of Brighton, completed in 2018, as well as a BSc in Sports and Exercise Science from University of Exeter. She spent five years working in Dublin as a Neurological Rehabilitation Physiotherapist at the National Rehabilitation Hospital, where she developed a strong focus on individualised, person-centred, and functional rehabilitation approaches.

    Since relocating to Galway in 2023, Alice has worked with both disability charities and underage sports teams, with a particular interest in supporting the development, rehabilitation, and long-term athletic wellbeing of young female athletes. Through her work to date, she has developed a flexible and supportive approach to treating a wide range of patients.

    Alice is passionate about promoting exercise, strength, and movement confidence for everyone, encouraging a positive and proactive approach to rehabilitation and performance. She is especially committed to helping young athletes build strength, recover from injury safely, and stay involved in sport for life. Alice is also a strong advocate for inclusive sport and works with Paralympics Ireland in classification, supporting Irish para-athletes competing both nationally and internationally.

    Outside of work, Alice enjoys making the most of life in the west of Ireland - running with her dog, called Guinness, beach walks, and surfing.
